Dear , Great insight again from my good friend, Joe Basile... The Teaching: Scarcity thinking creates scarcity. ] The belief that resources are limited—opportunities, success, recognition, wealth—creates
behaviors that ensure limitation. **Scarcity thinking operates from fear:** "If they succeed, there's less for me." "I must hoard what I have." "I can't share knowledge or it diminishes my advantage." "There isn't enough to go around." This creates grasping, competition, isolation. You protect what you have, refuse to give, view others' success as your loss. These behaviors actually create scarcity. Hoarding blocks flow. Refusing to give means refusing to receive. Viewing success as zero-sum prevents collaboration that
could multiply results. Abundance thinking operates from trust: Resources regenerate. Success isn't finite. Helping others succeed doesn't diminish you—it often enhances you through connection, reciprocity, and expanded networks. This creates generosity, collaboration, openness. You share freely because you trust more will come. These behaviors create abundance. Generosity generates goodwill. Collaboration creates opportunities. Celebrating others' success builds relationships that benefit
everyone. The practice: Notice scarcity thinking when it arises. When someone else succeeds, do you feel threatened or inspired? When asked to share, do you hoard or give? When opportunities appear, do you grasp desperately or engage confidently? The teaching: What you believe about resources determines what you experience. Scarcity begets scarcity. Abundance begets abundance. Both become self-fulfilling
prophecies. Until next time... Remember to K.I.C. (Keep It Coptic). To read Nader Anise's bio on Wikipedia, go to: Your friend,
