I am an avid reader of business books, publications, magazines, etc. I also listen to audio books and CD programs.
I suggest you get in the habit of doing the same if you're looking to boost your business game...
... because as legendary author and motivational speaker Jim Rohn said...
"You Become What You Think About"
The more you inject business, marketing and success content in your mind, the more you become what you learn.
It's a simple formula really. It's like the saying we hear all the time: "You are what you eat." The more
junk and garbage you feed your body, the worse you'll feel.
Same goes for what you feed your brain.
A few years ago, I got to know a funny Coptic youth who was obsessed with one thing: Egyptian KOFTA. All he thought about was KOFTA. He asked his mother to make it all the time, always ordered it at restaurants, and was consumed mentally by
it.
Interestingly, he always found a way to get it.
Apply that "KOFTA MINDSET" to success. Does it mean if you always think about success that you'll always succeed? No, it does not because failure is part of the process. It's simply a pit stop (or stops) along the journey of
success.
Failure is not a death sentence.
Failure is not final destination.
When you realize that failure just comes with the territory and brings you closer and closer to success, you'll view failure differently. When failure does happen, you'll get up, brush yourself off, and charge ahead... because...
PERSISTENCE Is the Key to Success
For Every Entrepreneur
More important than any other quality -- PERSISTENCE is the key that ultimately brings success to every entrepreneur.
Steve Jobs, former leader
of Apple, talked about the importance of persistence. So have many other business leaders.
For whatever reason, in the past few weeks, I've heard and read about the importance of persistence for success.
Maybe it's a message for me?
Or maybe it's a message meant for me to convey to you.
Regardless of the reason, it's worth etching in your
mind: Persistence is the key to success.
As my father once told me, "Move forward forcefully!"
