Dear ,
We've all heard it a million times...
"Work Smart, Not Hard"
However, those who say that are not being fully truthful. It's only a half
truth.
The intent behind it is DON'T SPIN YOUR WHEELS NEEDLESSLY.
You can spend months or even years working on your goals and come up empty handed.
Why?
Because you didn't focus your efforts properly, didn't use your contacts, or lost focus of your main objectives.
People get frustrated and distracted on their way to success... and ultimately... they give up.
That's what work smart not hard really means.
But Make No Mistake...
Working smart does not relieve you
of working hard.
In fact, the path of the entrepreneur is one of the most difficult and grueling paths anyone can take.
Working hard is a DAILY event. Even hourly. Or minute by minute.
But you don't need me to tell you that -- you already know that. I know how hard each and every one of our Chamber members works.
So my point is, never think that working smart replaces working hard. It's a myth.
And those who ultimately do make it big don't get there because they happen to be lucky.
Luck might be a very tiny component of success, but it's certainly not the main ingredient.
I Really Like Elon Musk's Recent Tweet on This Here:
"Working 16 hours a day. 7 days a week. 52 weeks a year. And people are still calling me lucky."
Luck is a byproduct of hard work. Working smart walks alongside working hard.
There are some ways to shortcut the process along the way... but...
HARD WORK IS THE FOUNDATIONAL INGREDIENT IN ANY SUCCESS RECIPE.
Until next time...
