Dear ,
What happens when you make hit the publicity lottery?
You get featured in publications like The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, USA Today, and yes, even Forbes.
A bunch of years ago, I created a campaign that had major media chasing after me for an interview.
I tell you this not to brag but to let you
know something I hope you fully understand:
You Are Much More Capable of Achieving the Extraordinary Than You Realize
Over the last 25+ years, I've learned marketing and media tricks that I never thought I'd share with anyone.
I'm just being honest here.
When I started my law practice on October 12, 1995, I had planned on keeping all of my guarded secrets to myself... and using them to build my firm.
But something unusual happened. Gradually, my love for
marketing increased... and... my love for lawyering decreased.
I started spending much more time focused on marketing -- even helping other lawyers build their practices. Hard to believe, but I was willfully helping my competitors.
I knew it was time to pivot.
To Make a Long Story Short...
I eventually phased out almost completely out of law (I do handle a select case every now and then) and focused entirely on marketing, business strategy and strategic relationships: Lawyers, dentists, doctors, financial services, Realtors, service businesses, product businesses, and on and on. I
have trained over 25,000 of them through my seminars, webinars, group coaching, private coaching, etc.
The Lesson Here Is This:
Opportunity doesn't usually come wrapped in a pretty little bow. It won't come screaming: "Hey, I'm an opportunity!"
You need to be able to recognize opportunity when it's
presented.
In many cases, you will need to pivot and re-adjust your business strategy and objectives. That's ok. Don't be too rigid. Sometimes the adjust will even be drastic. That's ok, too.
But, whatever you do, don't let opportunity finding you snoozing when it's knocking. Though life may be full of opportunities, the perfect opportunity might only come once in a lifetime.
Until next
time...
