Dear , NOTE: I've sent this email in the past before; however, it's so important I'm resending it.
Recently, a couple of members asked me what to do about bad reviews they received... so...
I've decided to resend it to everyone in case you're in the same boat. Good luck. ________________________________ I posted the following step by step way of dealing
with a negative online review in our PRIVATE COPTIC CHAMBER LINKEDIN GROUP. I wanted to also include it here to show you what
you're missing. I probably won't share the LinkedIn group content
here many more times because I want to keep the content I create for the group to remain exclusively in the LinkedIn group (it's a little extra motivation for you to join :). In the
meantime... Don't Panic if You
Get a Bad Review Online! Instead, do this:
1. Check to make sure it's a
legit customer/client/patient (and not someone, like a competitor, who is posting it just to harm you). If it's not a legit review, contact the website owner to remove it.
2. If it is a legit review, ask yourself if the person is justified in what they said. Try to be as objective as possible. If they're justified, take steps to improve so it doesn't happen again.
3. Commit to RELIGIOUSLY
educating your customer on the importance of giving you good reviews (communicate this, especially to those with whom you have good rapport and are happy with your service).
4. Work on getting as many positive reviews as possible to "drown out" the bad one(s). If you have 3 reviews and 1 is bad, your overall rating will be low, but if you have 1 bad one out of 10 or 15, it doesn't sting as much.
5. Remember,
most people understand if there are negative reviews here and there. No one expects perfect reviews all the time. Use negative reviews as motivation to fine tune your business. Until next time...
