How are you possibly running a business without doing these 3 things? Dear , Last month, several people asked me different variations of the same
question: What's the Best Way to Build My Business Efficiently and Have Massive Success? First of all, success leaves behind clues. "Obscene" success, too. While my answer varied slightly from person to person, here's the gist of it: This sounds like a simple question, but actually, there are quite a few complexities that come into play. There are many parts to the marketing puzzle. But, at the very least, keep these three things in mind: 1. Before you implement any type of strategy, you must answer this question satisfactorily: How are you different than every other _____________ (fill in your business) out there... and what can you offer your clients/customers that no one else can? 2. Once you've answered #1, and communicate it to the
world CONSISTENTLY, go for the lowest hanging fruit and start picking. What do I mean? It means that you should tap your list of current and previous clients and market to them. This will be your best and least expensive marketing path. Market to them continually and directly... incentivize them to send you referrals... send them emails and newsletters... and create a clear and omnipresent channel of communication with them. Satisfied clients are your best marketing
tool. 3. Educate, educate, educate. Most service fields benefit a great deal from alerting your prospects of potential pitfalls and educating them on how you can solve their problems. Showcase your expertise through every and any means possible. It doesn't have to be an elaborate, expensive endeavor. The idea is for people to a get a taste of your expertise and then want
to learn more about your services. Also, educating your prospect projects you as an authority/expert in your field. That's important. This, of course, isn't an exhaustive list, but it helps you lay some of the foundation before spending any money on advertising. I'll have much more to say about this in the future...
