Do you know about the Rule of 52? Dear , I'm sharing a post by my friend and marketing superstar Trevor "ToeCracker" Crook. What he says is totally on point: ________________________________________ . . . THE Easiest Way to at Least DOUBLE Your Sales . . . WITHOUT Investing in Advertising . . .
How Many Referrals Can YOU Get in Your Business . . . ?
When I first started to study direct response marketing back in
2001, something which clearly stood out to me was something Dan Kennedy had written about in one of his books.
It was about Joe Girard, the author of "How to Sell Anything to Anybody."
He was so good at selling, he was repeatedly recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Joe discover long before the invention of the internet and well before social media was event a wet dream . . . the “Rule of 52.”
He discovered that 52 people on average attended both weddings and funerals.
In marketing to consumers, Joe concluded each customer/client has the potential of referring fifty-two other customers/clients to you.
Even if I cut his number in half, ask yourself:
"Is your business averaging 26 referrals per
customer?"
Probably not.
Most average anywhere from less than one to three . .
.
Which means you have massive room for improvement.
When you have astonished a client so much they rave about you and
refer their friends and loved ones . . . what do you think that will do for your business?
Since the explosion of social media . . . in reality, it’s easy to assume on average people know 252 people these days.
Likely a whole lot more.
They can post about you on Facebook, Instragram, Twitter, LinkedIn and do
reviews etc. Their post/review can be a glowing recommendation when you astonish them.
Piss them off by giving poor service or doing shoddy work . . . they will tell ten times as many people . . . leave bad reviews and bad mouth
you.
In business, you are only as good as your last sale.
I will leave you with a quote . . .
