Dear ,
Let me start with the lesson:
One of the strongest forces you have working for you when marketing your business is knowing something very important:
Most People Have a Fear of Missing Out
(or FOMO As It's Often Called)
They never want to be the odd ones out.
What's the latest?... What's the hottest?... What's everyone doing?... Where's everyone going?... And so on.
This is compounded further when your customer is facing a true scarcity problem or looming deadline.
These two factors are some of the greatest motivators for someone buying.
The Classic Example...
A Realtor shows a house and the client falls head over heals in love with it.
Problem is, it's significantly over budget. Can they swing it? Can they not swing it? It's becoming an emotional ordeal.
The Realtor lets them know that there are other serious buyers and the house could be snatched up any minute.
Scarcity, time crunch and FOMO all in play here.
If you can work in a way to apply this to your business (and do it in earnest), you'll see more deals close -- and quickly.
Speaking of FOMO,
Now My Apology:
Despite announcing on numerous platforms that Coptic-Con had SOLD OUT, I had no less than four people contact me today to see if they can still attend.
It's not like they didn't hear about me publicizing it for months -- they did. It's about the human psychology that says that if something is sold out, it must be good.
And they want in!
I had to apologize profusely that I couldn't accommodate everyone despite my best efforts.
Not everyone was happy.
So, once again, if you're reading this and feel left out because you couldn't get into Coptic-Con, I'm very sorry about that and hope to have an even bigger room next time, God willing.
And believe me, I am so appreciative of everyone's support. Thank you!
