Dear ,
I've said this many times before...
Some of the best money I spend on Christmas gifts every year is on my bank people: my bank tellers and officers.
These gifts pay dividends throughout the entire year.
Though I haven't gotten them to give me the combination to their safe... yet (lol), they regularly extend courtesies to me like waving some bank fees, not holding large amount out of town checks, and other helpful perks.
But it's not just about the perks -- I really enjoy interacting with them and feel like they're entitled to these gifts. I see them so often throughout the year and many of them have become friends.
I've known some of them for five, ten, even 15 years.
What kinds of gifts do I give them?
In the past I've given Visa/MC/Amex gift cards, chocolates, wines, gift baskets, personalized stationary, Christmas tree ornaments, paperweights, jewelry and other things.
I've also thrown a pizza party for the bank and had pies delivered during lunch time.
They love it all -- especially the gift cards and pizza party.
The point is, make them feel appreciated and you'll be surprised at how easily doors will open for you after that.
Of course you don't need to stop at just your bank people...
Think about anyone who has given you extraordinary service throughout the year or gone the extra mile for you -- I'm sure they'd appreciate a thank you for Christmas.
Especially in 2020... people can all use some extra Christmas cheer.
Until next time...
And, remember, K.I.C. (Keep It Coptic).
