Dear ,
I have such high regard for people who don't make excuses.
People who "own up" and take responsibility.
People who are true and honest with themselves.
Truly, it's a rare breed.
"People who are looking for an excuse won't have to look far. Any old excuse will do" -T.J. Rohleder
You'll find that people who reject excuses for themselves, are self-motivated, self-starters, demanding of themselves (and others), are doers and are easily able to bounce back from difficulties and challenges.
Is this a generalization? Yes. But it's fairly on point.
Personally, I'll be the first to admit, I don't always bat a 1,000 in the excuse rejection department. I have a decent record, but there's always room for improvement.
Facing your faults and rejecting excuses involves a certain level of pain for sure.
But to be successful, you must deal with pain. You must learn to confront it and overcome it.
Pain is part of the process. Most people will do virtually anything to avoid pain, and thus, they find all types of excuses to numb the pain.
Dealing with the pain and confronting your reality isn't easy. It isn't fun either.
But you'll be proud of yourself when you do.
It's a sign of growth and personal development.
I suggest you kill the excuses so that your inner champion may thrive.
