Three ugly words...
|
Often in our journey to big success, we lose sight of what it takes to create it.
Often in our frustration of wanting to achieve our success quickly, we get frustrated. We might even say to ourselves:
"I give up!"
But don't despair. Don't lose hope.
Remember this:
Success is hitting singles and doubles, it's not hitting home runs.
Why?
Because you will hit the singles and doubles often; yet, when going after home runs, you will strike out often and lose out in building on the smaller gains you could have had.
In Arthur Miller's famous play, "Death of a Salesman," Willy Loman was always going to make the "big sale" that was going to make him rich and famous, but he died a sad, defeated person.
Sometimes we get impatient and want things to happen quickly, but just remember, although cliche, it's true:
Slow and steady wins the race.
Until next time...
