Three words that continue to impact me...
Dear ,
If you've been on social media today, you probably saw my post about today being the 18 year memorial of my father's passing.
I'm so touched by the outpouring of love everyone has shown in their posts and comments. My family and I appreciate it more than you know.
Before I share with you what I wrote about my father being the original "Coptic Chamber," I want to share three words he said to me when I was 22 years old.
I still remember it like it was yesterday... we were sitting together in our condo on Fort Lauderdale Beach...
I was being stubborn and difficult, and was stuck in a rut.
He wanted to help me. He wanted to motivate me and give me direction that I desperately needed.
He looked straight into my eyes and said...
Find the Target and
"MOVE FORWARD FORCEFULLY!"
In other words, he wanted me to be laser focused on my goal (whatever it was) and dart at it like a bullet.
Move... Forward... Forcefully...
Three words I've never forgotten and frequently use for motivation. Hopefully if you're in need for some motivation, this will help you.
In the meantime, this is one of the posts I wrote on social media:
Today marks the 18-year memorial of my father, Fouad Anis' passing.
While I don't generally post topics of a personal nature here, I made this exception because my father was the original "Coptic Chamber."
People from all over the tri-state NY, NJ, Connecticut area would come to his office (and often to our house) to seek his advice, his connections, his counsel.
They were starting businesses, seeking partners, seeking investors... or simply... looking for someone to listen.
He was always there.
He was also a shrewd but fair businessman. And a master negotiator.
He is the source, he is the inspiration of our modern-day Coptic Chamber, established in 2019.
I'm proud to carry on his legacy; I'm thankful to all the members who have decided to help us -- TOGETHER -- make a difference.
May God bless you always.
Looking up to heaven today and thinking of my dad...
Until next time.
And, remember, K.I.C. (Keep It Coptic).
