The Easiest Money You'll Make?
Let me correct that: Easiest or second easiest way to make money.
I would say receiving a referral is definitely up there in terms of easy ways to get clients/patients/customers.
The other easy way is marketing to your own list of customers, also called your house list.
This is what we call going after the "lowest hanging fruit."
When you've developed a list of customers who have bought from you and like you, it's INFINITELY easier to continue marketing to them and make offers to them and ask for referrals. It's much easier to do that than to market to new people outside your list.
Your response will be much higher with your house list.
What amazes me is how infrequently business owners do this.
No letters, postcards, special emails, flyers to current customers -- nothing.
You have a big old list of customers in your database just sitting there and collecting digital dust when you could be monetizing it.
Maybe it's the thrill of the chase... or maybe you're bored with marketing to the same people repeatedly... or it could be simple laziness.
But none of those are a good excuse.
Instead, you should be revved and ready to pull out your list and keep on marketing... and marketing... and marketing.
