Dear ,
1. The date for the South Florida mixer is Thursday, June 14. We will be starting late afternoon on Thursday. Please plan on being there and bringing friends. I apologize for not giving you more notice and full details here. I will follow-up, hopefully tomorrow, with venue and exact time. As I've written in an earlier email, my mother-in-law just passed away and things have been quite hectic. However, I didn't want the Holy 50 Days to pass
without making sure we all got together as a group to network, mingle and enjoy each other's company.
God willing, I''ll be doing mixers for some other cities in the US in the next month or two. Stay tuned.
So Easy...
2. What's the world simplest formula for success? Ready for it? It's so simple, you might not take it seriously. But I assure you, it's one of the best ways of getting ahead quickly.
A good friend of mine, who I've known for about 40 years, told me that he was sitting with a very successful and famous businessman one day. This gentlemen was reading every publication he could get his hands on.
Reading and reading and reading some more...
At one point, this man looked up at my friend and said to him, do you know why I'm so successful?
He said why.
He replied because I look at the world around me and I look at people. I figure out what they want and...
"I Give It to Them."
Did you get that? No complicated math and no major sales formulas. Just know what your audience wants and give it to them.
How do you know what they want?
The easiest way is to ask them. (Questionnaire, direct questioning, surveys, etc.)
You can also read blogs, articles and publications in your industry. Those can provide you with invaluable insight.
Third (this is a little secret of mine), hang out in the comments sections of articles/posts that relate to your industry. Read what people are saying and try to figure out if there's a specific theme or direction the comments are going in. The knowledge you can glean from there is pure gold.
And then once you know what people want, step 2 is give it to them. Or offer it to them if it is something that you're selling.
And that's it. Really.
Sometimes we overcomplicate things... but things needn't be so complicated. They can be quite simple.
P.S. I'll try to speak to my friend to see if I can reveal his name and the successful businessman who gave him the advice. I think you'd be pretty surprised by their identifies. Would you like to know who it is?
Until next time...
