Dear ,
You've heard people say:
"Work Smarter, Not Harder"...
Well, you know who made this up?
Lazy People!
For the most part, those who work "smarter" (while they may be more efficient in some cases) are not more successful than those who work harder.
In over 30 years in business, having helped and observed some of the most successful business people in the world (I'll have to tell you about the time I was introduced to Adnan Khashoggi, the famous arms dealer, in Palm Beach.), I can tell you there's no substitute for hard work.
If you outwork, out"hustle," outperform your competition, chances are good you'll end up on top (plus having solid marketing and good contacts helps A LOT).
So why doesn't everyone work harder?
Because most people don't want to. They want the easy way out, they want shortcuts, they want to find the path that causes them to perspire the least.
The fact is, most people view work as a treacherous, arduous, dreaded task. The less of it they have to do, the better.
But success views work in a completely opposing view. Success is attracted to hard-working, dedicated, no-excuses type of people.
Success loves the person with the "Failure is not an option" and "Do what it takes" attitude.
As the Bible says, "By the sweat of your brow you will eat." Hard work is mandatory. It's a prerequisite to success. The sooner you embrace it, the better.
So the next time you potentially see success waiting for you at the end of a hard, long (even anguishing) road, don't run away, carefully run to it. The rewards are much greater there.
P.S. I'm not saying to work harder without taking advantage of things that will make you more efficient. Actually you should look for those opportunities because it will help you reach your success goal sooner. But hard work still remains.
Until next time...
