Here are a few stats to chew on over the weekend (according to lyfemarketing.com):
1. Only 7% of search engine users will ever make it to the third page of the search engine results.
That means if you're not on the first two pages of google (especially the first) when someone searches your keyword(s), they'll probably never see you. That's way good SEO (search engine optimization) is so important.
2. 37% of online shoppers report using social media for inspiration when they’re ready to make a purchase.
People are using social media not only for sharing pictures of Johnnie (or Mina) playing soccer, but also for getting ideas, doing research and finding inspiration when it's time to buy. Just another reason for getting your message out there on social media.
3. Video ad completion rates have shown a steady increase over the past few years, reaching 70% just last year.
More and more people -- up to 70% -- are watching videos through to the end. That's a bigger number than previous years. In 2015, the number was only 47%. That number can probably be attributed to businesses being more savvy in creating compelling video content. BIG TIP: Make sure any video you show has a call to action (CTA) at the end.
4. On average, 46% of users act after viewing a video ad.
What does this tell you? First, you need to produce more videos. Second, (as mentioned in #3), make sure you add a compelling call to action that directs the viewer to an action you'd like them to take. If you don't include a CTA, it's less likely the person will take the action on their own.
