Dear ,
I'm not a doctor, but I play one in my newsletter.
It's time to diagnose and treat the problem of...
"I Don't Have Enough Buyers
(or Clients or Patients)"
I've had several members email with essentially the same complaint:
I have a decent social media presence... and I always try to be professional... but my Instagram and Facebook posts haven't really resulted in any new business. Help!
Well, I'm happy to report it's a fairly easy diagnosis... and the prognosis is good!
First of all, in order to start seeing even minimal results from social media, you need to have at least a few hundred followers, preferably more.
Second, you need to post new content every day, at least once a day.
Third, you need to regularly increase the number of followers you have by inviting people who are in your geographic area and target market (even if they are remotely connected with you or a friend of a friend -- BUT DON'T SPAM).
Fourth, you need to engage with your followers -- comment, like and ask questions on their posts, and they'll eventually do the same with your posts. Trust me.
Fifth, focus on at least two social media platforms to be active on: The biggies are Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Now, What If You've Already Done
All of the Above?
Then I will give you the most common diagnosis of the problem (it could be other things, but it's usually this):
If you've soundly done 1-5, and you're still not converting friends or followers into clients or buyers (and not even getting inquiries), then there's a good chance you have a BELIEVABILITY issue.
In other words, your audience isn't fully convinced that you can deliver for them what you represent you can deliver in your posts (this applies more to providers of services than sellers of products).
(Notice: Believability is different than credibility.)
You might be entertaining, and people might love your posts, and you might even have dozens or hundreds of likes, but you haven't sold them on your professional abilities.
Want to know how to fix that?
Tune in tomorrow when I'll tell you how to solve a believability problem.
You won't want to miss it!
In the meantime, K.I.C. ("Keep It Coptic")!
