I received a phone call today.
A potential new client wanted me to help him with marketing, and he was very eager.
In fact, he was so eager, he wanted me to work with him starting tomorrow...
... BUT HE WANTED TO PAY ME TODAY!
Why was he so eager to hire me?
Because he came to me as a result a referral. A very, very good referral.
He told me his friend worked with me last year and was blown away by the results.
Now he wants us to work together... and he said... if he only achieves HALF the success of his friend, he'll be thrilled.
(I love getting calls like that!)
This reinforces what I always tell you (but many of you are so reluctant to embrace):
You MUST Have a Referral Strategy,
You Must ALWAYS Ask for Referrals, and
You Must Make It Easy for People to Refer to You
So my simple question is this:
What Are You Doing Now to Gain the Most Referrals You've Ever Gotten In Your Career?
If you're like most people, you leave referrals up to chance... or you might simply mention them in passing.
Well, guess what?
THAT'S JUST NOT ENOUGH!
There's a lot more that you can and should do to land referrals.
