Dear ,
For years, most marketers agreed that the word FREE was the most powerful word in sales and marketing.
After all, who doesn't like free, right?
The problem is, when you offer something for free, people are usually asking themselves, what's the catch? Why is it free?
Make no mistake, FREE is still a decent attention-grabber; however, with lots of things in today's market being offered for free, it's certainly lost a little bit of its luster.
So, I have two suggestions for you:
1. If you plan on offering anything for free in your business (especially to generate leads), you have to build up its value first. That way, when you tell the prospect it's free, they jump at the opportunity to acquire it.
2. You must give the audience a reason why you're offering it for free. People nowadays, more than ever, are quite skeptical... you must satisfy that nagging voice in the back of their head that's telling them to just walk away because it's a gimmick.
So, if you will be using FREE in your ads, marketing, offers, etc., do so wisely.
Also, create urgency and put a time limit for them to act.
And finally realize, just because something is free doesn't mean people will automatically want it. If I offered you a FREE book on Basket Weaving Techniques of the Amazon Tribal People, will you want it?
See what I mean? :)
Until next time...
