Dear ,
What you see above is an animal known as a Tarsier.
It's quite unusual, isn't it?
Tarsiers live on trees and are found on a number of islands in the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia. They're small animals (about 10-15 cm) with long fingers, long ears, long hind legs and a long tail.
It's rare when someone has seen it before -- let alone know what it's called.
You know what Tarsiers are like? They are like your business.
Even though you might have the coolest product on earth... with the best results and extraordinary service... if no one knows about it -- if no one has ever heard of you -- it's all for nothing.
In order to build a business, people must know about you, like you and buy from you.
In other words,
You Must Learn to Create Buzz
Around Your Business
In Order to Succeed
It's not as hard as you think. Here are four easy ways to get people to notice you and want to learn more about what you offer:
1. Share your successes -- If you have social media accounts or an email list, it's smart marketing to let people know what you've done for others that has made them so happy with your product or service. That way it doesn't sound boastful -- plus it's always interesting reading.
2. Be a guest blogger -- Look up all the blogs in your target market. Then select five or ten popular ones that you like and ask them if they'd like you to be guest blogger. If they agree for you to write a blog post, you can get big exposure to a large audience... for FREE.
3. Build a social media following -- Social media marketing is still one of the most cost-effective ways to get your message out to a large number of people without paying a penny. You start by following family, friends and associates (and hopefully they'll follow you back)... and then you gradually add content related to your products or service that people will want to share. In no time, you can have hundreds or even thousands of
followers.
4. Get the media interested -- If what you offer has a local angle to it, why not contact your local news media and tell them all about it? You'd be surprised how often they feature feel-good stories about local businesses. Why not yours?
I've given you four simple methods above -- but you can start with just one of them.
The idea is to do SOMETHING! Don't be like the Tarsier that most people know nothing about.
Until next time...
P.S. Some people might call the Tarsier ugly, but I don't. It looks pretty cute to me.
