Dear ,
A few days ago, I told you a good way to remember someone's name was to repeat it in conversation once or twice upon introduction.
It works like a charm.
Another
good way to remember someone's name is by association -- connect the person and the name with a famous person, event, object, story, etc.
This tip came to me courtesy of Steve Shalaby of United Realty Group & Streamline Financial Group in Boynton Beach, Florida. His website is: www.shalabydreamhomes.com
Thank you, Steve!
It's a great tip and it's something that I to do whenever possible because if remains in your memory longer.
I remember years ago meeting a forensic accountant at a colleague's party whose name was Albert (Al). He
had the same Al Pacino eyes and that raspy voice. I told him he sounded like Pacino and he laughed. I kept imagining him saying things like "Hoooah!" and "Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in!" (Movie buffs will get these references.) But from that moment on, I associated Albert with Al -- and have never forgotten him or his name since.
It's an easy trick to
remember names and it's fun, too. Hope you can find a way to try it out soon.
By the way, if you have a good business, networking or marketing tip that has worked for you, email me. If I use it, I'll credit you and your company. (Please don't take it personally if I don't use it though, I get A LOT of emails.)
