Dear ,
Here's a quick riddle:
What's the most commonly asked question in business
that no one hears?
(Que the Jeopardy music...)
The answer is:
"What's In It for ME?"
This is the question every prospect and
customer asks himself whenever they see your ads... speaking with you on the phone... receive your emails, etc. But they'll never come out and tell you that.
You might be a nice person and all, but the cold truth is... all the customer cares about is WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR THEM...
... How will you make their lives BETTER, RICHER,
HAPPIER, MORE ENJOYABLE, EASIER... and so forth.
Sometimes in our excitement of promoting our business, we tend to dwell too much on how great we are, instead of how our product or service can benefit the customer.
If you can start thinking in terms of how you can make it more about the customer
and less about you, you'll see results immediately.
This slight shift in thinking will make all the difference. Trust me.
And just so that you never forget this little tip, I have attached a printable version of the graphic you see above so you can tape it near your desk and remind yourself of this important lesson.
Aw shucks... you're welcome. :)
