Dear ,
You know what a cookie is, right?
No, I don't mean like chocolate chip or white chocolate macadamia (one of my favs).
I mean like the cookie you get from a website.
Let me explain.
Have you ever visited a website and it asked you if you agree to "accept cookies?"
Cookies are small bits of data that are stored on your computer so that when you access a particular website, it basically remembers you and tailors your web visit.
Well, in many ways...
Humans Store "Cookies," Too!
Every time you meet someone for the first time, your cookie remains with them. You leave every person with a certain feel, or emotion or mood or vibe or energy (call it what you want), and it is associated with you for a very long time. And it's hard to change and can take a long time.
Do you realize that?
It might be:
"Wow, this person was so friendly and outgoing!" or...
"I can't believe someone can be so self-centered (I couldn't get a word in edgewise!)." or...
"What a go-getter! I definitely want to connect with her again." or...
"He was so intense, it made me so uncomfortable."
And on, and on...
Every single one of us leaves cookies with people that we encounter.
The question is...
What Do My Cookies Contain?
The answer is an important one... and requires us to be completely honest with ourselves.
There's no shame in being dissatisfied with the answer. What should be shameful is if we know that the cookie (or impression) we leave is not a positive one and we do nothing to change that.
We all control what we put out there... what we convey to the world...
Please make it a "cookie" that you love and are proud of.
Until next time...
