Dear ,
Remember the email from yesterday about attention span... namely:
"Scientists reckon we now have shorter attention spans than goldfish, who are able to focus on a task or object for 9 seconds."
Remember how crazy that was (but it's true based on research)?
Another stat I included stated that the average viewed length of a single internet video is 2.7 minutes.
You might have only glanced over that. Again:
The average viewed length of a single internet video is 2.7 minutes.
Think about that: If most people normally have an attention span of less than 10 seconds, yet are willing to watch (and pay attention to) a video for almost 3 minutes...
... What does that tell you?
PEOPLE WATCH VIDEOS! (You're thinking, DUH! Of course they do.)
That begs the question...
Are You Using Video to Market Your Business?
If Not, Why Not?
My message today is... use more video in your marketing. It works!
Yes, it might take you some more time to put videos together, light editing, uploading, etc., but it's well worth it.
Don't go for perfection -- go for good enough. Authenticity is more important that production value. Keep that in mind.
As long as you have good audio and you're clear in the video with good lighting. you can be not the most articulate and still crush it.
Now, I should take my own advice and start shooting more videos!
Until next time...
And, remember, K.I.C. (Keep It Coptic).
